CHILI COOK OFF
January! It is easily the most delicious meeting of the year.  Post 305 and Unit 305 prepare their most favorite chili in a crock pot. Awards given for best chili.
RULES
1.Chili is defined as any kind of meat or combination of meats cooked with chili peppers, various other spices and other ingredients including beans, spaghetti etc...

2.Any recipe that is your own. All ingredients must be cooked at home and on the day of the event.

3.No commercial recipe such as Wendys, Wick Fowler, Hunts, James Coney Island  etc., unless you give them credit with a card next to your chili.

4.If there is liquor or beer in your chili, please post a sign next to your crock pot.
Normally beer cooks off but this is an important item to some members and guests.

5.Beans or no beans, your choice.

6.If the meat is not beef, chicken or pork, please post a courtesy sign stating that it is an exotic meat and say what kind.

7.At least one entry of vegetarian chili is appreciated, with a card on the side saying it is vegetable based. Vegetarian chili will be the first crock pot.

8.There is NO entry fee. Members may enter more than 1 batch of chili. There will be a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prize awarded.

9.Chili Cookoff members are responsible for supplying all of their own utensils and products relating to their chili submission and maintenance of it's proper temperature for serving.

10.Spoons and cups will be provided.

11.Power is available so electric warmers or crock pots are allowed.

12.Water is available.

13.Each contestant must cook a minimum of one crock pot of chili.

14.Judging will be by the members of the Post and Auxiliary. The decision of the members is final. As the members sample the chilis they will vote on who they choose as the best. All votes are secret, will be tabulated and announced same day.

15.Each member is responsible for policing and cleaning up their area. Trash cans are provided. No items should remain after the close of the Chili Cook-off.
